With the introduction of CompactRIO in 2004, National Instruments redefined the embedded market by offering a reconfigurable solution that combines the flexibility of custom design with the short time to market of an off-the-shelf product to overcome some of the biggest challenges in condition monitoring, smart machines & electrical power application areas. NI CompactRIO combines an open embedded architecture with small size, extreme ruggedness, hot-swappable industrial I/O modules, and is powered by the NI LabVIEW reconfigurable I/O (RIO) architecture. The demo illustrates the diverse IO capabilities of NI cRIO across Vision & Motion, Control, Power Measurements and many more.
The NI VirtualBench brings the modern user interface to benchtop instruments that will open up new possibilities and make engineers more productive. NI VirtualBench combines five of the most common instruments in a single, compact, integrated device. The all-in-one form factor opens up new possibilities for how engineers can access and utilize benchtop test equipment, and this advancement will not only simplify the experience, but also add more capability. Vision & Motion Demo
NI CompactRIO combines an open embedded architecture with small size, extreme ruggedness, hot-swappable industrial I/O modules, and is powered by the NI LabVIEW reconfigurable I/O (RIO) architecture. This demo integrates our advanced multi-core compactRIO, a stepper drive module, a drive interface module to an AKD drive, a Basler ACE POE GigE camer, proximity sensors and much more to demonstrate advanced machine control concepts like vision guided motion and force feedback using the NI CompactRIO.
Power Quality Monitoring Demo
The NI CompactRIO Power Measurement System includes the core hardware you need for creating a custom power monitoring or control system with NI LabVIEW software. With LabVIEW, the RTOS on the controller, and the FPGA in the chassis, you can use standard measurements or custom algorithms in your system design. This feature alleviates many of the issues commonly found in “black box” power measurement products that offer limited debugging functions for nonstandard problems or power features.
